Dell and IOTA Foundation to Offer Real-Time Carbon Footprint Tracking

The IOTA Foundation, a non-profit developer of distributed ledger technology ecosystems, teamed up with Dell Technologies to create a real-time, data-driven solution for tracking carbon footprints. Dell Technologies announced the onboarding of IOTA, ClimateCHECK, and BioE to build a solution on top of Dell’s in-house efforts, Data Confidence Fabric (DCF), and Project Alvarium. The IOTA Foundation’s head of sustainability, Matthew Yarger, said: “Transparency and trust in data are paramount for addressing the global issues of climate change and transitioning to climate action.” Yarger elaborated on the idea, saying that the four organizations collaborated to create an integrated digital measurement, reporting, and verification (MRV) platform.
